Im a Graphic Designer, I love Traditional and Digital Art as well as Photography. I am hoping to learn and grow on my own and with the help of other artist. Currently Going to the Art Institute of San Antonio for my BFA in Web Design.
I recently transitioned out of the Military and currently live in Texas. I am now a NAF employee working for the 502nd FSS - MWR Marketing Department for Fort Sam Houston.

New Graphic Design Job

Well folks its been about a month since I started working for the Marketing Department at Fort Sam Houston. Things are going great, I really enjoy the job and the people that I am working with. The only thing that sucks right now is that our Lead Graphic Designer has been tasked out for the next 3-6 months to help build the new JBSA website which means that I now have to take her worked load and mine. To make it worse our PA guy has been out sick for the last few days so I have been trying to do his job as well. So basically I am getting swamped and I am slowly drowning. Hopefully our PA guy gets better soon so he can get back to work.

Well folks a little less than a month ago I finally picked up a job with the Texas Veterans Commission as an Administrative Assistant (paper pusher). I recently got offered a job as a Marketing Assistant/ Graphic Designer for Fort Sam Houston's MWR (Morale, Welfare, Recreation). I went ahead and accepted the job because its closer to home, pays $10,000 more a year, and is in the Graphic Design field rather than Administrative. I am really excited but also feel really bad about having to quit the Texas Veterans Commission. The people that I work for are really nice and seem to really care about their jobs and the Veterans. Well Folks,
I am officially out of the Army and have moved back to my home state of Texas. I am still looking for a job but do have an Interview in about a week. So I guess we will see how that goes, in the mean time I have gone back to school at The Art Institute of San Antonio in pursuit of my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Web Design. I am hoping that with an AS in Graphic Design and a BFA in Web Design as well as my capabilities with a camera will be sufficient to get me in the door of a Graphic and/or Web Design Firm. Until then I have joined Freelancer.com and have started making bids and entering contest to see if I can scratch up some mone
